Prey (2022) is a solid home run that was desperately needed in this series.
I'm a life long fan of every Predator film regardless of the quirks and continuity issues. But for years it went without an "Alien Resurrection" until that last installment rocked the fanbase quite a bit.
I'm not even going to try to touch the authenticity of an entire culture that I don't know nearly enough about, but everything we needed for a stress inducing thriller that had my heart pounding away was here. Brought me right back to hearing the pines crackle out in the woods at times, that natural eerie quiet where anything could be out there, but only we the viewers were feeling the dread that whole first half. Animal behaviors were genuine, fights delivered, acting was superb, atmospheric suspense was perfect, and that monster, now THAT looked like an Alpha Predator! If this is the future of Predator, I'm in.
