Chazz Hillery

Warning: Spoilers Okay, the English dubbing was very well done, so it gets a star for that. The creatures were pretty neat looking and the way they pop up out of roots and dirt is kinda creepy, another star. Lead character....give me those stars back...wait...the actor playing her was pretty convincing and owned the annoying brat motif, so...okay, you get those two back, but none for her. Mom should have been the sacrifice, since she was dumber than the cows and Dad was more boring that anything from a stable, barn or pasture, so...no stars there. The brother and Liv were kinda interesting...didn't get a lot of screen time, but...okay, no stars. The idea of a tourist family breaking local ordinances regarding nature preserves is really a pain when they don't just get arrested for doing so. I mean, going down a private road will often get you a warning and cutting down a tree in a tree farm should be "yeah, you're under arrest. You'll be staying in our facility for idiots for about 10 days, so...roll credits, film's over" Any kid who sees a gutted cat and says "it probably ate itself" needs a therapist. Any old lady who decides that a kid who's cavalier attitude is enough to go ahead and feed her to the critters needs a jail cell. Any mom who tells her kid "it's not your fault" when there's a dead guy we know of, who only died because the kid did what even the mom told her not to should have been the one fed to the critters so she can't spawn any more like that one and Dad was about as brain dead as the average zombie from any given Z-film...but, then I gotta go on his side a bit when he's trying to keep his family from being eaten. Okay, he can stay...but that might change if he ever finds a personality. Tall dark and gruesome (meaning Hollar) should read a book about "how to seem human, even when that's in doubt" Entertaining in a cringeworthy fashion, I was really hoping Krampus would show up at the end and save this show...he doesn't, sorry to say, but that would have gained it another star from me.
