I'm about 8 hours in, and I've been enjoying the hell out of my run so far! It does take some adjusting to as there have been some changes to the visuals and how your inventory and load out screens work, but once you get the hang of it, no worries! I've been using the grapple more to snatch up objects and chuck them at enemies then for traversing to out of reach areas and the glider can be a little irritating at times, such as gliding right on past a ledge you wanted to land on. But overall, so far, Borderlands 4 has just been good old-fashioned blast anything that moves fun!
