Very poor game and the worst in the battlefield series. Clearly made by executive decisions rather than game developers experienced in their craft for first-person shooters.
A triple-A title that is easily outclassed by smaller indie game-developed first-person shooters. Everyone with any form of responsibility or decision-making during the development of this game should be ashamed of themselves.
This will tarnish the Battlefield series moving forward and sadly make long-term fans of the series a lot more skeptical about purchasing future titles.
Those defending this game, I'd argue are of a younger generation that has grown up with Fortnite and Call Of Duty, which in their own right have been a major success but are prime examples of soulless game development that are sucking the life out of gaming with battle passes and microtransactions.
This is not what Battlefield is and doesn't deserve to even be called "Battlefield". Games that are literally 10+ years old are better than this, in terms of gameplay and mechanics.
