I love observing people who are unabashedly themselves. Fran is who she is - gritty, funny, and a great storyteller. Not only did this series make me laugh, but it also made me think - damn, I need to read more. People like Fran who are so well read (she famously owns more than 10,000 books) are simply more interesting.
