Agreed with other 1 star ratings. A mess. It's trying to be slapstick horror, but also trying to be serious & touching at the same time? If it wants to be slapstick, it should just be fully slapstick horror with heartwarming or serious moments. Trying to be a bit of everything, all at once is just... lame. The writing was the worst. Why do you have an incredibly powerful girl just stand there watching or sit there while the guys fight, then scream when the monster comes for her? Either she runs & stops being the bait the guys have to fight to rescue. Or at least tries to use her powers! In the end, just a simple line from Dr Strange "trust yourself" leads to her defeating the Scarlet Witch - suddenly, with no training or any attempts ever to use her power? So Dr Strange could have easily encouraged her at any point. And Scarlet Witch not using her powers & being good, but suddenly is revealed to still be bad, then repetitively saying "I just want my sons". & very suddenly at the end, realising she is a monster. The script & cheesy lines just feels so bad, even the actors couldn't keep it from sounding stilted. A disgrace to the Marvel series. Unpleasant visuals, messy. Don't understand the high ratings elsewhere.
