I was worried when I first saw some rough cuts of previews for the movie before it officially came out with a real trailer, but those fears instantly washed away only a short time into the film. The original will always be the original, but Tim Burton did an amazing job with not destroying the legacy of Beetlejuice with this one. Using practical effects and props instead of overdoing everything with new age technology was definitely the way to go. Danny Elfman’s score of the movie instantly brings you back with the nostalgic feel of the world we all know and love. Jam packed with comedy this one hits home with good throwbacks all while telling a new story audiences can leave feeling fulfilled by. I went back and forth with 4/5 and 5/5 but decided on the later after I though about how fun my family and I had getting to relive this favorite once again. If you’re a Tim Burton fan I recommend you get down to your nearest theater asap and enjoy the fun wacky world that he has created for us all yet again. 👌🏻
