Disappointingly, not as good as 1883, which has much stronger, more likeable characters, a better storyline and a faster pace. The 1923 storyline plods along, from one totally implausible situation to another. The Spencer and Alexandra (who’s English accent was atrocious) was ridiculous from start to finish…what were the writers and casing directors thinking of. By the last episode I was actually laughing at nearly every scene, and couldn’t take any of it seriously whatsoever. I gave it 2 stars due to the scenery and the priest storyline.

Started off well, then downhill. Totally implausible, awful plot and some really dodgy acting. Give it a miss.
