I do not want to get into character assassination and therefore only comment on the content and show itself.
I found the show repetitive and very staged. The gushing of some guests was a tad disingenuous. It was also unfortunate that some of her dishes were not very inspiring. Of note was the focaccia. It was a discus which was undercooked with none of the bubbles, puffiness and airiness for which it is famed. It was not risen enough, and trying to dimple the dough by poking with an unoiled or unwet finger is not the way to do it.
This is not for the serious cook apart from the Korean chef who was interesting . I would suggest that she perfect her recipes, and watch shows like Barefoot Contessa to hone her presentation style. It is also disappointing that she is working in an outhouse and not her own kitchen. This would have made it way more authentic. Even a few shots of the guest suite would have added more reality.
