Imagine a movie where the good guys lose. The bad guys are as unlikeable as bad guys need to be, yet they still win in the end. Moreover, the innocent victims never get rescued, and the one person who should be trying to help ultimately just sells them out. I think a movie like that would leave me feeling completely unsatisfied. I understand what others are saying about the realism of the whole situation, but if i wanted to see that kind of reality (where the good guys lose), then I would have watched a documentary about human trafficking. I guess what I’m saying is that if the victims had been rescued and the bad guys were brought to justice, it would have been a more satisfying movie experience.
