Eh. I watched because I heard about it on a podcast and I like good spy movies. This was long and convoluted, and the narration jumping back and forth made it a difficult watch. But, I should note, it was made many moons ago, when the cast and crew were all coming into their own. Perhaps I'm expecting their acting from now, 20 years later. I need to remember they were all much younger and less experienced or polished when this was produced and released.

I read about The Americans on several different articles which discussed great TV with complex writing and fantastic acting--since this show came up several times, I decided to give it a go. It's got a Sopranos feel with a historical touch. I have to watch so closely to make sure I don't miss a single piece of the plot. It's a thrilling watch that I'm planning to binge over the entire summer. It's too intense to watch in just a few sittings.

Ahhhh a classic duo (Channing and Bullock) with the perfect ending. Loved this movie and so happy it’s on Paramount so I can watch it whenever I need a little pick me up.

It's long, so prepare yourself with snacks, but it was worth every minute. DiCaprio does an excellent job in bodying the role of Ernest Burkhart--I wanted to hate him, but part of me really fell for his affable character. I attribute that to DiCaprio's skillful depiction and ability to show all sides of his character. Martin Scorsese took his time in the movie to show the full picture of what happened to the Osage people, and I appreciate the total story being shown here. I recommend listening to the podcast In Trust before you go watch the film so you'll have a deeper understanding of what is going on.
