I almost didn't try this game because of some of the negative reviews about it. I was thinking that I wouldn't like all of the things that other people didn't like but I was wrong. Harvest Moon Winds of Anthos has slowly become one of my favorites. Don't get me wrong there are things that I don't like, but I think with some improvements they may be on to something.
First off I will say if you are looking for the traditional HM this isn't it. It's more like Zelda/HM had a baby.
Pros:
The open world to me is awesome.
I had to take my time.
You can move your farm to different locations.
Meeting new characters all the time.
You do have to find sprites to get seeds but there are so many different kinds to find.
You can get a large variety of different animals.
I love the menu that keeps track of all my tasks and the map.
I like that there are so many different mines.
I was on year 3 when I finally finished the story line.
I am still clearing parts of the map and have so much left to do.
Cons:
The animals take a lot of effort and money to feed at first.
The animals don't give you different quality milk/wool/eggs etc.
I was not prepared for such a long intro.
The tasks start to get repetitive for each character.
It is more focused on exploring than expanding the farm.
It takes a long time to make any improvements to the farm.
If they made another game like this with some improvements, I would definitely play it!
