Normally, I find the show informative and reasonable. However, the comparison of plant milk with dairy glosses over the fact that milk contains high doses of insulin factor one , antibiotics , overused as animals are routinely kept in conditions that require them .Not to mention puss as cows suffer from mastitis like humans and there is apparently a safe amount of this in it. Also it ignores the research of T Colin Campbell in The China Study where protein in milk ie casein is implicated in cancer growth. A cautious approach would at least be prudent.
The dismissal of plant milk on the grounds of protein is again inaccurate as even human breast milk is low in protein compared to cows milk . We do not need all this protein and far too much emphasis is placed on this aspect. Also there is plenty of protein for our needs in green plants such as kale. I for one take almond and oat milk as I have a heart problem as I was a meat eater for years which led to my stroke and from my research the work of Dr Caldwell Esselstyn on Reversing blocked arteries would seem to be true given his angiograms that show how effective his approach is. Perhaps you are too conflicted by the dairy industry to be totally trusted in this case?As for calcium try kale again. Also from your previous program on greens and it’s effect on the endothelial layers of the arteries ,the production of nitric oxide to relax this layer it would seem to be the best thing to do for all these reasons.
