Okay, so I just started binge watching on HULU from season 1. I do enjoy the show, but could not give 5 stars because the accuracy of the details is soooo bad. The setting is supposed to be in OH outside of Cincinnati. There was one scene where a MARTA bus drove by in the background, MARTA is in Atlanta, METRO and TANK are in the Cincinnati area. Then they talk about gators in the river. I kinda assumed that Alex's family is from a rural part of KY which is just across the river from Cincinnati, but there are no gators in OH or KY.
Also, the scene where Brad had mud on his boots and they said it was red clay, there is no red clay in OH. I know that this is a fictional show, but if you are going to have a specific location as the basis for the show, I just think that certain details should be accurate. I was born and raised in Cincinnati, so I am very familiar with the details of the city and surrounding areas, so sometimes I just laugh at some of the scenes.
Overall the story lines are pretty good and keeps the intensity going. I think the actress that plays Esperanza acting is pretty bad, but the acting overall is really good and keeps me intrigued.
