I have 2500 hours on VALORANT and hit immortal and what I can say is don't invest your time in it. This game has many issues from smurfs to ping spoofing it's really busted and they focus all their attention on over priced skins. After a while you realize the ranked system is also busted as you cannot rank up after a while due to the hidden mmr system (ie: hidden mmr is gold, you are plat, so you will gain +12 RR and lose -24 RR and its just so bad) so before installing, play some other games. This game is genuinely just so bad. The guns are also terrible as the recoil is random and the first shot accuracy is off and you're essentially playing a guessing game each shot. Not to mention, the broken agents and the utility. The utility in this game will leave you wondering if youre playing a shooter because you cant see, walk, or shoot. Can't forget about the maps! Each map in VALORANT makes sure to include a new mechanic, but that's not the issue. The issue is that each map in the game is INCREDIBLY one sided. Lotus is attack sided, Haven is attack sided, Icebox is attack sided, etc. Each map has their own unique way of making it incredibly one sided, meaning you have to pray you start on that side as if you win on the good side 9-3 you can probably win 4 more and win, though if you're on the bad side and lose 3-9 you will be demotivated and tilted to win 4 more. VALORANT is a momentum based game so if you lose consecutive rounds in a row you WILL get demotivated and lose momentum. The teamates also in VALORANT are randomized and skill level isn't determined so you can carry 20 games in a row and still get awful teamates. Overall, this game is horrendous as a competitive shooter and if you want to play this game to rank up then this game isn't for you. If you want to play good fps ranked games try: Rainbow Six Siege, Apex Legends, Overwatch, and CS:GO. VALORANT caters towards the casual players more then the competitve players as all the developers are silver-bronze and can't make any balances based on the majority of ranks so they base their buffs/nerfs on pro play and low ranked play, really busted, stick to top down games not shooters please Riot!
