It's an amazing album, adding to Travis's almost-perfect discography. Utopia, unable to be named exclusively a "rap" album, stands out for its production, variety, and genuinely good tracks that range from emotional rides, relaxing tunes, speaker beaters, and traditional modern hip/hop. It does have a couple misses and straight skips for me, so it fails to compete with superior works like Rodeo or the flawless Astroworld.
Hyena: up beat hip/hop track with levitating outro 8/10
Thank God: chiller track with a nice sounding chorus and faster rhymes near the end 10/10
Modern Jam: This song's interesting rhythm makes it catchy and hyped. Teezo's feature sounds like a distant singer, and it is one of my favorite ones in the album. 10/10
My Eyes: emotional and slow at first, switches to an ethereal beat with Travis fast rapping. 10/10
God's Country: Personally, not my favorite as I find the "lalala" kind of annoying. 5/10
Sirens: Another song in which I feel the beat breaks the vibe and, its a bit over the place for me. 4/10
Meltdown: Traditional Drake and Travis rap song; very catchy. 10/10
Fein: Opium-style song with synths and a Carti feature. Rage shi. 10/10
DelResto Echoes: Kind of catchy, and the beat is pretty unique. I don't love it tho. 6/10
I Know?: Emotional and soothing. With rhymes near the end and the beat feels creepy and melancholic. 10/10
Topia Twins: Traditional modern rap song with 21 savage and an amazing hook/chorus by Travis. 10/10
Circus Maximus: soothing but at the same time up-beat. Swae Lee and Weeknd feature so the voices are enjoyable. amazing breakdown at the end. 10/10
Parasail: Underrated. It is an emotional song and very slow, but I find it to be beautiful and it makes you relax. 10/10
Skitzo: Such a varied song with FOUR beat switches. Pretty traditional modern hip hop with Young Thug who was good chem with Trav. 10/10
Lost Forever: Slower song with Travis rhyming at the start and a Westside Gunn feature that fits pretty well in this song that makes u feel like ur reflecting. 9/10
Loove: Super catchy and upbeat with a fast Cudi feature at the end. 9/10
KPop: just skip it (bad bunny) 0/10
Telekinesis: relaxing, slow, melancholic song. SZA with the feature of the album at the end 10/10
Till Further Notice: my personal favorite. James Blake being etheral at the start, 21 with a melancholic and catchy verse, and Travis' verse is really good too. amazing hook. 11/10
Id give it a 8/10 based on the ones I skip. I don't like skipping songs in albums but i gotta here. The good songs are insanely good tho.
