The show ended so well only for this movie to ruin it. The pacing is terrible to the point that it boggles the mind. Uhtred falls victim to so many rookie mistakes that he seems nothing like the legendary warrior that is appealed to later in the movie. Aethelstans character is utterly destroyed because he has to atone for sin? So many other plot armor-y things like uhtred being banished then allowed to waltz into the castle to see the king.
A disappointment overall and sad to see that the series came to this .
