Madame Mercy

I swear I was hit by the tranquilizer dart in this movie because I kept falling asleep-it was a tad bit boring to say the least until u suffer with the plot about midway through. The acting was horrible, specifically by the daughters. They were very monotone and were not believable especially when you have a ferocious 800 pound lion trying to maul you to death in the African desert & you're without sufficient help. At 16 years old, *Daddy I'm scared" just doesnt cut it😐! I'm thinking that the casting director was either their father, brother, or uncle-that's the only way they could have gotten those parts. Idris Elba usually does wonderful in his roles. I see him as a good actor. But bro this was not it. A lot of things just didn't make sense, it didn't click. I'm still trying to understand was this some type of super mutant lion that can escape the flames of a burning fire and immune to tranquilizer darts? Why do the characters keep getting out of the vehicle with no weapons in their hands and a ferocious lion is trying the decapitate you, I don't understand? Needless to say, I will probably never watch this movie again- it's already history in my mind, don't give it a future in yours.👎

Please stop making remakes of the classic horror films PERIOD! Hollywood always gets it wrong and the public is telling you that we are tired of it! As so many people have stated already, Robert Englund is the only Freddy that any of us know. He is Freddy with the makeup and he is still Freddy without it! Recasting him with this other actor was a huge mistake. He does not have the persona or pizzaz that Robert Englund possesses from mastering this character over decades. Horror fans already have a place in their hearts for the real Freddy Krueger who has been scaring us for over 30 something years. Therefore recasting him was a disaster from the get-go. This movie or whatever you want to call it was laughable. There was no scariness to it, maybe a jump scare here and there and that's pretty much it. The backstory of Freddy being a concrete child molester had me somewhat squirming in my seat because it overshadowed anything else that was conveyed in this movie. The only reason that I gave it two stars instead of one is because I liked the reverse bloody bedroom ceiling scene and that's it. Hollyweird take our advice and stop with the remakes! You guys never get it right!!!

Spoiler alert.... you will need a working knowledge of the Bible if you're going to understand this movie and even then, it's still lackluster. (And this is coming from a fan of M. Night Shyamalan movies.)The acting was very good so I'll give him a 10 out of 10 on that but once you get to the climax, I found myself disappointed. The best part of the movie is the loaded question it posed-can you kill someone you love in order to save the lives of billions...*still debating & deliberating*
