While the plot in itself was intriguing, the writing style didn’t really hit home for me. This could be because it was translated from Spanish to English so I won’t judge too much on it. That being said, I feel as though there were a few plot holes within the story that didn’t really get answered in the end. The protagonist lacked depth in character even as all the traumatic events happened around him. I found myself questioning his motives the entire time and by the end I was left even more confused than when I started.
Aside from that, the attention to detail in the dystopian world was very well done and believable for the most part. Overall, it’s an interesting story but would probably fair better as a short film rather than a book or novel.
