I am a huge fan of all things Meryl Streep, and even more now of Clint Eastwood. I first watched this movie over 10 years ago when my children were in high school. I guess I was at that same emotional state of married life as in the movie, so I could totally relate. Streep conveyed without words the slurry of emotions of being drawn into what she needed and resisting for sake of obligation. Eastwood was a gentle, compassionate, sexy guy as usual. This story messed me up at the end. I have not stopped tearing up because of love lost... Or was it gained. I have a choke in my throat that will not go away. Great but sad love story.
