This docuseries was biased, confusing, and poorly directed. Some of the interviews, photos and footage was the only redeeming quality. The Stayner parents were not the long-suffering victims they have been portrayed as, and there is far more to this family and Cary Stayner than meets the eye. "Captive Audience" did not set the record straight about anything and leaves viewers who know little about the story going on with more questions than answers. This was the family's attempt to present their denial as truth, and the director allowed them to do it. Period.
