Michael Dorman is brilliant, simpatico and honestly the only reason I kept with the second season. I hate thed delivery of the lines and some of the conversations are oh so drawn out. Itโs predictable and so is the staging, i.e. sitting across from each other in the park having a stilted conversation and the camera panned out. Enoughblaready. I get the humor, however I personally did not find most of it funny. John Tavner is like a machine or robot and responds instantly to his fatherโs wishes and commands. I wonder if his father had him undergo mind control or brainwashing? I would only watch the third season to check in on John Tavner and see if he is able to rebound.
I liked the first season a lot which is why I hung around for the second. The second season was and is a disappointment.
