I have read every book Daniel Silva has written and thoroughly enjoyed the exploits and travels of Gabriel Allon. However I am deeply disappointed with this book and specifically how the author attempts to weave in the “insurrection” of Jan 6, 2021 into the plot/storyline. One of things I have always loved about Silvia’s book is that he writes about current and real world issues and I always feel I am learning something relevant to today’s world. But this writing, especially the “Author’s Note” is biased with his disdain for Trump and the Republican Party. You appear to be making a case for why you concluded the book in this way. Really disappointing. Daniel, in closing, given your overwhelming bias, I wonder how you will portray the American President in your next book. Also you note in your book how America is divided and struggling - do you think your book helps?
