So the plot revolves around the dad sacrificing himself to give his daughter more time to fix his O2 generator design. C’mon… that is trash science. Want to make more O2? Raise the voltage for more current flow… add more of a conductive agent to the water to allow more current flow or make more cells for greater capacity. We’ve had electrolysis generators for a long… long time. How do you think submarines or hospitals make O2? The movie had an interesting premise but a future setting with a problem that has a very 20th century (or older) solution worthy of a Middle School science fair while waiting for a Mary Sue to figure something out just before the end credits rolled was not all that interesting. The intervening hour where it was people shouting and lying to each other and slowly killing each other off or taking an extra long time to zip tie each other was one I’ll never get back. Oh… and the Earth healed itself… because that’s what the mom said would happen. Junk. I can’t wait for the RiffTrax guys to rip it to shreds.
