One of THE most brilliant albums to come out of the era and Midnight Oil’s crowning achievement. With songs ranging from the haunting, keyboard driven Outside World, Only the Strong’s punk-esque screams, the perfect pop-rock of Power and the Passion, to the experimental 2-parter Scream in Blue. Some of the production sounds a little dated (it’s from the 80s, after all), and the numerous experimental flourishes may drive away those looking for a straightforward rock’n’roll album, but if you’re into thinking man’s ROCK (think the Clash), then give this album a spin, you will not be disappointed.
