A superb, unforgettable documentary that captures the resilience of the survivors of the residential schools in BC. Beautifully done, the film approaches its subjects with great care and sensitivity. The stunning landscape around the reservation in Williams Lake is so well filmed as are the multiple rituals and celebrations. The scenes with the late Rick Gilbert at the Vatican are heart wrenching and makes us wonder if there will ever be a true apology from the Church. Mostly, this film is about redemption and the resilience of the survivors and their descendants. A masterpiece of a documentary.
