I had the highest expectations for this game I spent the most money I’ve ever spent on a game getting the Ellie edition pack that’s how much the first game impacted me. I really felt a personal connection to Ellie in the first game and the side story Left Behind is actually what helped me cope with the loss of my dad, they released the last of us part II the day after my fathers anniversary of death and it all felt a bit more then coincidental when the opener of the game (spoiler alert) was the death of Joel caused by a choice he made that wasn’t necessarily good or bad. Don’t get me wrong the story is heart wrenching I cried more then once throughout the game which is a hard feet for anyone I really never cry, especially about things like this. The realistic aspects they capture in the game are unreal and so human it puts Hollywood films to shame, the story broke my heart but in a way that I appreciated and was glad to find such a moving and profound ending even if it wasn’t the one I thought I wanted. Thank you naughty dog you always make it worth the sometimes crazy ride and I would love a third game if you wizards think you’re crafty enough to magically top this game.
