I don't mind that they race swapped Commissioner Gordon or Barbara Gordon. It's not the first time they did that. Jeffrey Wright played him in Reeve's The Batman and no one lost their minds. Also Harley Quinn being a lesbian isn't new either. She's been in a relationship with Poison Ivy for all the seasons of the Harley Quinn animated show. However, changing the penguin to a tall dancing woman had me thinking WTH. You need to at least keep the personality and the penguin has always been a diabolical scheming criminal mastermind. I appreciate that she tries to kill her two sons but what is with the song and dance number. It just felt out of character. I'm all for gender swapping characters but you have to keep what makes the character the character at heart and this sassy las was not the​ penguin.
