Expected a horrible movie cos I came across many “I had no idea what’s happening half of the movie” comments but watched it anyway. It’s brilliant. I’m not sure if I got the entire point right but I think there are a few crucial moments/sentences to note: 1) human alienation (when Roberts explains why she is angry all the time) 2) “we made a lot of enemies around the world, maybe they joined together” (to finish us), referring to the US making an enemy of way too many countries globally and its time for payback 3) reference to friends (the show) and the observation “feeling nostalgic over a time that never really existed” which is kind of a social comment on our innate tendencies to idolize what has been instead of accepting what is 4) hawk’s sentence “I’m a useless man” (without internet and GPS) critiquing our global dependency on an external power rather than ourselves; also, showing how alienated from nature we’ve become 5) When they talk about the secret society, the long speculated existence of one and it running the world, then actually having someone confirm it first hand 6) animals - pure creatures, the only ones left behind after the chaos destroys human race The movie is pure suspense and I honestly loved every minute of it
