While it doesn't capture the same magic between the likes of Patrick Swayze, Sam Elliott, Ben Gazzara, and Marshall Teague, The "new" Road House DOES NOT disappoint. Beautifully shot, chock full of action, PLENTY of brutal fight scenes, and smiles along the way. Jake Gyllenhaal and Conor McGregor put in their all and really throw down for this movie. If you go in looking for it to automatically stand up to the original by comparison, you're not going to be able to enjoy it. This movie is its own story, while giving subtle nods to its predecessor. Billy Magnussen & Jessica Williams were entertaining in their respective roles, while the cameos from Jay Hieron & Post Malone made the movie that much more enjoyable. So many people bringing down this movie, quite sad to be so closed off to quality entertainment. I honestly hope Elwood Dalton makes a return.
