I have no particular insight into the who and the why of this killer compilation. Bought it used in '95 to rip tracks for a 4 man Doom match at the Lotus Lab. Ripping the disc to archive (so much for the forever-ness of the CD format) I was delighted to hear Kruder and Dorfmeister, alongside Howie B and perhaps my favorite track on the disc Marden Hill doing "Get Some In". Mellow jazzy abstract bass vibe throughout the disc. Great tracks to lose oneself in during these bleak times without flying cars or anyone with a CD player to share it with...
