I grew up on the games. As a writer myself, Iโll be rating every aspect of the movie. Iโll include spoiler warnings if thereโs a spoiler in a category.
**Cinematography**: I praise the stunning designs, sets, brilliant lighting, and animatronics, but I donโt understand the red eyes. They look high, but who cares? We finally have a FNAF movie! Overall, I rate it 10/10.

**Characters**: I liked Mike's character, found Abby and Afton good, but had issues with Vanessa's inconsistent writing and the unrealistic aunt. The plot twist with Vanessa being Afton's daughter surprised me. I rate this aspect 8/10.
**Dialogue**: Iโm disappointed with the dialogue, its unrealistic, except for the conversations between Abby and Mike. Improving dialogue could have made the movie better. I give it a 5/10.
**Horror**: I didn't find the horror aspect scary, likely due to my high tolerance for horror, but I appreciate the disturbing and eerie atmosphere. This aspect doesn't matter much to me. I rate it 5/10.

**Springlock Scene**: Iโm happy they included it at all but wished it were more intense. I enjoyed Afton's iconic line โI always come backโ and the actor's performance. I rate it 7/10.
**Acting**: Despite the dialogue, I acknowledge that the actors did well with the scripts they were given. Josh Hutcherson's performance impressed me. Matthew Lillard was amazing as well. I rate it 9/10.
**Plot**: Critics were wrong about the plot doing too much. I feel the plot is underwhelming at times but appreciate the strong start and connection to the characters. I acknowledge that the FNAF movie was never going to have an award-winning plot and rate it 6/10.
**Sound and Music**: I didn't pay much attention to this, which I think is a good thing as it immersed you in the story. I rate it 7/10.
**Character Development**: Limited character development, mainly for Mike and Vanessa. I expect more in the next movie. I rate it 6/10.
**Pacing**: Pacing was a bit of an issue, with repetitive dream sequences. I found it frustrating but not terrible. I rate it 7/10.
**Ending**: I found the final battle anticlimactic but accept it as a setup for a sequel. The execution is the main issue. I rate it 8/10.
In summary, I appreciated the cinematography, acting, and certain character aspects but had reservations about dialogue, horror, and pacing. The overall experience left me excited for a sequel and wanting more. From a biased longtime fan, I give this film a 9.5 out of 10. Itโs made for the fans, but still deserves a watch from newcomers.
FNAF will always have a special place in my heart. I adore this franchise and Iโm so glad I got to watch it get this far.
Thank you Scott Cawthon!
