Much like our chefs first trial run, this is movie was uninventive and derivative. It was NOT a spook, as it led me to believe, it didn’t even have a plot… nothing at all happened, and nearly no one was affected by the “supernatural” aspect. I think in the end we were meant to have sympathy for the old witch… although that was also extremely unclear. I loved the idea…. But it had no meant, no substance, no flavor.

I really liked the premise, but the acting is just so inconsistent and nonsensical, and I don’t think that’s any fault of the actors, while there may be some over acting, I think they did the best with what they were given. It’s all the writing, it’s just weak and can not figure out its own tone. Character traits don’t seem to matter, personalities are swapped around nonstop, it’s hard to narrow down what actually matters to these people and why they do the things they do.
