So to be fair, I will put the positive about the game and the negative about the game. So if anyone that played 23 and wants to get nba 2k24 next gen, I’ll tell you the positives and negatives. Positive: The graphics in this game is really good, the look. The feel of the game feels like a next gen experience that for myself coming from current gen nba 23, it’s definitely a different feel to it and I actually like that about the game. Kobe Challenges was great, and it was very sad to play it “R.I.P Kobe” it really shows how much of a great player he is and the challenges was a nice get away from my career and just reliving the moments that Kobe has done. 2k did a really good job on doing that! The cut scenes was very sad for me to play through and I shed a tear on it because Kobe was so young when he passed away and his daughter. That day when they passed and all them people passed away will forever be a moment of sadness I will always carry on. And 2k did a very good job representing Kobe. Negative: My career. Let me just start there. The A.I is way too difficult to go against in my career, now I have an easy time with my center but how are you supposed to grind your badges? For a way to grind you can’t be a 75 or a 60 overall to grind In my career. You have to max out something to be good at the game. It is too much of a money grabber! The badge progression. I see what 2k was doing for more people to grind the game and play more, I see what they was doing with that but it’s actually very bad that they did this because it increases ball hogging a lot more, people be too busy trying to grind their badges and only think of themselves and not be a team player. You can’t ever now play with no squads anymore and if you play squads with 2-3 people it always will put you against a squads that’s all 92s that put $200-$300 dollars on the game and that isn’t fair at all! The money grabbing in this is awful, paying to get further in the pass. To get extra boost for shooting, this game is for people who have loads of money to spend, 2k said that they lower the prices on builds. They did but it’s still expensive in the game. There’s no way that you can be a 70 or a 85 playing the game. It’s not good at all because again you going against players that put too much money in the game in the beginning! And at this point I refuse to put any more money into the game! The shooting in the game is tricky, it’s too inconsistent, the pull animations of out of bounds is too frequent, the defensive stuff in the paint is a bit better but needs lots of improvement! The problem of this game the badge program is awful, the time of grinding is too much! And the pay to win aspect of the game isn’t fun anymore. At least with 23 if I payed to be a 92 I have my badges good and I get on what I paid for. 2K24 is just not good at all. I tried giving a month to give it a chance and I just can’t do it anymore. Maybe I will try my team but the whole my career has really turned me off on the game and at this point. I think I will pass up on 24. Unless they make improvements. If you think 23 was bad. 24 next gen is worse. Don’t buy the game and waste your money 🙃
