I thought this movie was amazing. You may see people complaining how Flounder, Scuttle, and Sebastian look, but between you and me, I don’t think that they realize it’s live action. Halle Bailey sounds like an angel, I LOVED Prince Eric’s song. I thought Scuttle and Sebastian’s rap was hilarious and thrilling. Melissa McCarthy did PHENOMENAL. People complaining about the Mersisters ethnicities don’t realize that they represent the 7 seas. People complaining about Halle Baileys hair also don’t realize that’s it’s live action. When do you see anyone with neon, bright red hair in real life? Never. There are lots of hilarious moments, and everyone’s acting is amazing. People are getting mad that Ariel and Eric don’t have any attraction to each other, when they have the same amount as they did in the original. Voice acting was amazing. It’s also dark and gloomy because believe it or not, That’s what it looks like when you’re underwater at night. It’s LIVE ACTION, people! It’s not gonna be bright and shimmery and fun and cupcakes like it was in the cartoon. Overall, I think that this movie was a masterpiece and one of the best movies I have ever seen. It’s definitely worth your money, I had a wonderful time! 🧜🏾‍♀️💗🐠
