This book is OK for beginners. If you are the kind of person who is ok with being led by the nose through a learning process, then get this book! But -- remember, to be most effective, you should actually do as you are told by the author. His method actually works for newbies.
It's horrible for anyone who already knows several languages and just wants a quick overview of this language so they can then decide to go further or quit.
On the back cover of the book, the claim is made "This book Is Perfect For Seasoned professionals looking for a fast, simple, crash course in Python 3".
Don't believe it -- it just ain't so! If the book was written like "The C Programming Language" by Brian Kernighan and Dennis Ritchie, I would agree with the assessment for 'seasoned professionals' (whatever they are).
In summary; if you're a beginner and don't mind being told exactly how to behave and think, and you are willing to surrender to that mode of teaching -- then this book is for you and if you follow it as the author tells you to, then you will learn Python 3.
As the author tells you in this book, when you are finished, you'll be able to go further to "really" learn Python 3. You gotta start somewhere!
