I have just completed this book today, 20th September, 2023 at 11:21pm and I'm just so in love. We'll written, exceptional storytelling, the love story between Bradley and Angel really stood the test of time. I just wish there was more stories on how they turned Belle Acres into their home. I feel vastly educated about our continent's history, and power struggles. I felt really bad for Paul, cause like Angel, I'd gotten attached to his tough love for his family and the farm. I'm curious to know where Adrienne's relationship stands with Angel. Oh and Melanie, sweet Mel, I do hope she lives as long as Granny did. Douglas, oh poor fighter! He did deserve better, but his ending was similar to most African fighters who fought the war, most of them ended up poverty stricken dealing with PTSD, feeling lost for cause! I'm sure a reunion with him, Simphiwe and Angel would have been epic! Simphiwe made it! I'm glad. Glad both parents chose to let Angel grow up in Belle Acres. The land Gregory left Mabusi, finally ended up with its rightful owner! And shout out to the grannies for coming through for one of their own! Truly, true love transcendes even beyond this universe. Death isnt final. I feel so attached to this book. It has ticked all the boxes for me. African authors, yall ade the GOATS! Sue, thank you for this. Much love from Nairobi, Kenya.
