As a Halo fan for years and for many years to come, this show is a great and different take on the Halo universe. Many people are upset about the changes within the story line and alterations to the universe and this is understandable but also very ignorant. We would all love to see a show where it caters to what we have grown up with, but as simple as it is, that's a stupid expectation. If you want your beloved Halo series to grow in popularity, it needs to cater to larger audiences and not regurgitate the same and clearly predictable story lines. I absolutely adore Halo and have since I was a child and I believe this change to be refreshing. I personally would rather see a change within the storyline to allow this show to appeal to more people and increase the Halo fanbase. Catering only to the long time fans is simply a poor business move and will only continue the decline of Halo's popularity. That being said the first episode was enjoyable, I loved the brutality from the covenant, the advanced combat from the spartans and yes I also enjoyed the storyline and the potential for this story to become more complex. I would recommend this show to anyone interested in sci-fi and also to my many long time Halo playing friends. The CGI is well done but has its minor issues, the dialogue between characters isnt too bad and there are many familiar characters within the first episode. I think there is lots of room for this show to get better and I am looking forward to the next episodes. Personally I want to see the game I loved growing up become a very huge success again and in order to do so I believe it is on the right track. Without a change of pace and an increase in popularity, this entire Halo franchise will die out. This tv show is well done and again needs to be approached with an open mind. Sorry about my rant regarding those who disagree with the changes in the universe but in all honesty, change is a good thing. I truthfully rate this show as a 4/5 but will be giving 5 stars due to the nincompoops rating this as 1 star.
