This is literally “Day 5” by Rooster Teeth, slightly remixed. Instead of “we can’t go to sleep or we’ll die” it’s “we might die because we can’t sleep”. Both prompts are kinda stupid and meh to me, but I expect meh from a YouTube channel that’s trying to make original content, not a multi-billion dollar company. Also Gina Rodriguez is not the only Latina in Hollywood. She was not a convincing mother at all. She looked maybe 27, but to have 2 kids(like 15 and 11)... that’s just not believable to me. Also the whole world going crazy isn’t that interesting, especially after seeing masterpieces like “Us”. Idk, I wasn’t expecting an Oscar worthy film. But Maybe if they had Dascha Polanco(who we see get ridiculed and demeaned for having kids so young, and watch over the movie her character develop from the “I have to be a good mom so everyone can like me” to “ screw them, I’m doing okay”) or Selenis Leyva as the mother. And maybe if it was this small town/neighborhood that was affected and the government tried to cover them up, but then it started to spread rapidly. Kinda like COVID, where the audience and the characters don’t know what’s going on until close or near the end.
