The acting and cinematography was perfect ... the story, almost ... a few bits of implausible plot points added to keep the melodrama moving to the end (forgivable given how difficult it can be to end a movie well). These kinds of teenage love / angst / social plays, done well, retell that time of our lives as magical, invoking that time-in-a-bottle wistfulness given what growing up / moving on feels like to all of us. We wonder, what direction had life taken had we made different choices while in high school? Lastly, the movie really depicted a few charming scenes in the City of Pittsburgh, reflecting another time in my life ... also long gone now.
