Garnet Allen

The movie was solid cinematic adaptation of the theatrical production. It kept me engaged and singing along. I must confess that for me the casting of Rebel Wilson and Jason Derulo in their respective roles were the only major missteps, they just didn't do justice to the characters. I understand the possible intent of their casting but it failed for me. Dudi Dench and Ian Mckellen were magnificent. Great cudos to Jennifer Hudson for her interpretation of Grizabella... Memory is not an easy sone to deliver on.. but she did in her own unique way. Well done to Francesca Hayward. With also great support by Laurie Davidson, Idris Elba and Robbie Fairchild All in all, this movie i liked and it is well worth seeing for those who are familiar with the production, and those who want to get to know it.
