The first half of the book was fun even if cliche at moments. When we entered the second half…and the third…I kept cringing. The characters got more unbelievably cliche, the plot twists were obvious, and the extremes of torture/justice were so corny I kept rolling my eyes til the end.
It’s unfortunate, this could’ve been a great read. In the end, I was left with a story so predicable and characters so flat that I wish I’d just stopped after part one.
