The main storyline was boring I agree with. The movie showed there were some signs to that we could find some extraterrestrial life, or more probably the protagonist father might be onto something. About 90% of movie was the hero's journey to his father. The challenges faced by him and his thoughts. After reading this, you would believe that this movie was a boring space movie with slow pace. Although I do agree with slow pace of the movie, but the main attraction of the movie was brad Pitts acting. He was the main sole reason of this movie not being too boring. His continuous thoughts, his emotions of uncertainty, disbelief and sadness were portrayed so well that this forces me to give this movie a 4star( one star minus due to plot )
