Misleading and Frustrating
I tried watching Meghan's Netflix show, but I was honestly frustrated by several misleading claims and contradictions. One thing that really bothered me was when she said in an interview that she was "forced" to wear nude tones to blend in with the royal family. If she felt pressured to blend in back then, why is she now presenting herself in such a different light? She's often seen wearing curly hair, tailored clothes, and styled to the nines in the kitchen. It's hard to understand the sudden shift in her appearance and the mixed messages she's sending.
Additionally, she mentioned meeting the royals while wearing ripped jeans and going barefoot, which seemed like an attempt to paint herself as rebellious or down-to-earth. But now, she's frequently dolled up and showcasing a polished image, which feels inconsistent and a bit inauthentic.
Beyond that, her show promoted some questionable advice, like the idea that clear ice cubes only happen with bottled water (not true) and using potentially unsafe dried flower petals to decorate food, without any disclaimer about their safety.
Additionally, her suggestion about wearing bottled water to make clear ice cubes was misleading, as this claim fails to address the true scientific explanation behind cloudy ice. The freezing process in home freezers naturally leads to ice forming from the inside out, which explains the cloudinessโnot the type of water used.
Another troubling aspect was her use of dried flower petals to decorate doughnuts, which could be dangerous, as many flower petals are not safe for consumption. Promoting such practices without caution is irresponsible, especially when the audience may not be aware of potential risks.
Lastly, I couldn't overlook the tone of the show, which often felt rude and condescending, making it difficult to enjoy. I was hoping for a more engaging and genuine experience, but the combination of misleading information and inconsistent messaging made it hard to take the content seriously. I wonโt be watching again.
