6/10 - Handing over my honest review for the movie. The movie "Shadaa" has been incredibly promoted and the trailer itself provoked its audience to step out and watch the reel. I saw it last night (a house full show) anticipating it to be a big time laughter show with a decent story line.
Diljeet and Neeru are exceptional actors in punjab film industry. They had commendbly played their assigned role. However, I believe that they need to push their film makers to add their own skills rather working on whatever has been scripted. I mean, they are the stars and can easily change the unlikable or stretched scenes on their own term. The movie is same as shown in the trailer about a bachelor struggling for his marriage and ends up in finding his soul mate (unlike most of the punjabi movies).
Though most of the punjabi movies lacks in its storyline but are packet of laughter that you enjoy them a lot. I loved the movie "Gudiyan Patole" in that terms. But, not this one. The movie lacks in both these ends of laughter and storyline. First half can be adjusted to say good n decent, however; the second half is like focusing more on the popcorns than making any interest in movie.
Most of the jokes were predictable. Jokes by the sideline actors (mother, father, friend, taayi, cuckoo im beginning, sardar uncle at last etc. etc.) are full of laughter pack at some point, than the central actor.
Songs are amazing. I swear. I loved each n every song. Specially the one that was individually sung by Diljeet on stage garnishing the streamline of Shaada (Swag beats are amazingly good).
Most of the reviews are fan based. I am a fan too but this one killed my expectations.
Sorry for being honest.
