I watched this movie on the opening weekend with my family. We all enjoyed it very much, but no one as much as my daughter. She was awestruck. I thought Halle Bailey was a great choice for Ariel and pulled off the role very well. The movies cgi for underwater scenes wasn't great at points, and was inconsistent throughout the movie. Imo the soundtrack was better than the original animated version. I would highly recommend. One of the better live action remake Disney has done for sure.
