American may not "straight away" (that's British) understand the style of humor used by Anne Robinson. Once you do 'get it' you can't get enough. I love the weakest link. Since 8 out of 9 (and in the U.S. version 7 out of 8) take the walk of shame, it's understood you probably take that walk. So take it with good humor! That's all it's meant to be, good British humor.
