I thought it was just "pretty good." It wasn't the usual caliber of Marvel/Disney and I felt they simply tried too hard with a lackadaisical story written and directed by two people who obviously had an agenda best left alone. Brie Larson's performance was phoned in, probably from Bakersfield and lacked credulity. They overplayed the action scenes a la DC and the CGI was, at times, almost comic book quality. The plot and her powers were uneven and, at times, forced to the point of incongruence! There were some lines from other movies that showed lack of creativity but unless you've seen the movies, you couldn't tell. Gone were any humorous or witty dialogues and I felt they were trying to force a square peg in a round hole. I have absolutely no problem watching other Marvel movies like the Fantastic Four to the Hulk to the latest Infinity wars over and over again, except for this movie. I wouldn't watch it again if it was free with popcorn!
