I was worried going in because of the horrible reviews, but overall we loved it! I’d read that the CGI had been upgraded after the previews and first showings so that may have made a difference for us. We felt that some of the standout performances included Francesca Hayward, Jennifer Hudson, Rebel Wilson and James Corden (we would have been thrilled to have more scenes with Rebel & James - they were hysterical!) If you go in with an open mind, and expecting a movie version of the Broadway show, you won’t be disappointed.
