Thank you, Billy Porter for directing a movie that I am pleased I clicked on. Eva Reign and Abubakr Ali are superb - and along with the supporting cast give this story real heart. The way it was shot, the music choices, the ending plus the next ending (no spoiler alert!) was authentic and fun. I look forward to the day this is on You Tube so that it can have a much wider audience. This film deserves to be seen and particularly by American audiences, given the ghastly 2025 that everyone is experiencing who fall outside of the narrow descriptions being laid down by the conservative right on what it means to be human. I will recommend it because it is a story about young people for young people …but I hope more conservative adults are invited to watch it. It hits on many levels. I speak as a parent, myself. I am satisfied that Beef is a worthy winner of Best Limited Series and Ali Wong and Steven Yeun ‘earned’ their awards for the flawed people they played, but who the audience can empathise with, despise, then feel empathy for again. Road rage is a metaphor for unresolved trauma and self-loathing which is gradually revealed through some wonderful dialogue between the lead characters. It is bitter sweet. Such is life and relationships. I will recommend this to my friends and colleagues at work. Cheers from New Zealand.

My 21y old daughter introduced me to One Day and I binge watched and now have to deal with the emotion of it all whilst wanting her to pick the right day to watch the last two episodes. It felt like a very slow burn over the initial episodes but I like this in a series, that you get to know the characters, and find them believable. Leo Woodall and Ambika Mod are convincing, nuanced in their portrayal of Dex and Emma…and I was left deeply affected by the story. I then read an interview with them both and it added another layer. They deserve the accolades that the series is receiving. I feel I could watch it again in ten years and be as deeply moved, as I reflect on my own life and choices. Cheers from New Zealand.

Anything with Aaron Pedersen will always be worth watching. It was.

Sacha Baron Cohen is a credible actor in this television series. I didn’t know the story and looked up Wikipedia... and thought the story of Eli Cohen was convincingly acted. Starting as it did, knowing what happened, keeps you on the edge of your seat. Six episodes was enough as the tension built to its inevitable end. Well acted. Thought the cinematography was excellent and shooting it in grey versus bright colour placed it more historically in context. I am no film reviewer ... however I am pleased Netflix showed The Spy!

As a New Zealander, I enjoyed the British version of a police procedural with a touch of the American flavour. Rob Lowe is great. There’s some witty dialogue, like when they storm a farm in episode 5 snd he says he feels like he’s back home. You’ll get it if you watch it! And as others have written, lovely cinematography, a good music score, development of characters... and I loved “Muriel” as the central character alongside Bill’s character. I’d watch another six episodes!!
